Training workshops for the CHVs

After the two phases (the research and the data dissemination) currently, the Bedouin Health project goes through its third phase, the Intervention. During this phase a number of Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) were trained to act as health promoters and a link between the community and the local healthcare centers. The first training session for the CHVs took place On March 20, 2010. It was implemented with the collaboration of the Red Cross, Kab Elias, Bekaa branch. The training modules included an orientation to the role of the CHVs and the scope of their work. The bulk of the training was on first aid techniques. Topics covered included the followings: First Aid, Family Planning, Reproductive Health and Maternal and Child care. After the completion of the modules and the training sessions, certificates of participation were distributed to the CHVs.
